How To Use CORE SERIES
Core Series was developed as a one-stop resource for fitness fundamentals. Core Series will give you everything you need to jumpstart (or improve) your fat loss, muscle gain, athletic performance, and overall health. There is enough information here that, with the right mindset, you will never have to pay anyone to teach you how to get in shape ever again.
The hardest part about fitness is not knowing how to get your head in the right place. These articles help you to (1) take responsibility for your fitness, and (2) build discipline when you don't know how. The following sections contain comprehensive guides to exercise and diet that will give you everything you need to put your mindset into action.
Pick one of the workouts below that fits your preference.
- If you're a beginner, read the first article.
- Even if you're an advanced lifter, I recommend reading the first article, and asking yourself honestly if you've completed a routine like the Beginner Workout for at least 4 weeks (there are also some points about discipline and habit that will be helpful).
- If you really hate the idea of going to the gym to lift weights, I've provided a bodyweight exercise alternative that enables you to cut out the commute and the sweaty gym grunters.
The articles below are much shorter than the workout articles. However, they are all essential to read. Unlike the Workout articles, of which you could pick only one, every single article here will be required knowledge for your fitness journey. But trust me — you'll be really happy you know this stuff when you start seeing results before everyone else.
